About

An Indigenous NGO for Sustainable and Resilient Society

sowEH, short for Sow Education & Health, is founded on the belief that every act of kindness towards strengthening a community is like sowing a seed—one that, when nurtured, grows into a mighty tree, providing fruits, shade, and essential resources for generations to come. Our mission is to create a sustainable and self-reliant society by addressing critical challenges in education, health, creativity, and community well-being. Over the years, our community has faced significant challenges, particularly in education and health. We have witnessed an alarming rise in mental and physical health issues, including suicides, primarily driven by financial struggles, unhealthy competition in education, societal pressures, and lack of vision. Talented students have found themselves in careers that do not match their abilities, leading to wasted years and damaged well-being. Additionally, we are seeing an increase in health problems, such as cancer and heart diseases, which were once rare in our region, affecting even the younger generation. sowEH is committed to tackling these challenges through a structured and sustainable approach. We believe that in today’s digital world, access to information is no longer the biggest obstacle—financial constraints remain the most overlooked challenge. While our community has progressed significantly, with many excelling in various fields across Pakistan and abroad, a significant portion still struggles to afford education for their children. For too long, we have relied on external financial support, but as our community advances, it is time to build our own self-sustaining framework for education and health.
